Phi
Phi Don, the larger of the two, is visited for its incredibly
picturesque panorama with the idyllic tropical beaches lining
its southern and eastern shores. The soaring lime stone mountains
embrace the narrow crescent bays, offering the scenically beautiful
panorama. To get the remarkably magnificent view, you stroll along
the path at the backside of Ton Sai Village to reach the viewpoint
which offers the excellent view of sunrise. On the eastern and
southern shore of Phi Phi Don, there lie along several beautiful
beaches; Lo Bakao Bay, Laem Tong Beach, Long Beach, and Lo Dalam
Bay.
Lo Bakao is a wide bay offering a various kinds of water sport
activities.
Laem Tong lying to the north of the island is the former home
of sea gypsies; the beach is remarkably splendid. Here, visitors
can hire a boat for snorkeling or diving.
Long Beach lies on the southernmost tip of the Phi Phi Don; its
sand is clean and the abundant bed of coral of the Hin Pae Island
offshore is excellent for diving. A 30-minute-walk or a 20 Baht-long-
tail-boat-ride from Ton Sai Beach is required to reach the beach.
Lo Dalam Bay is very quiet and scenically picturesque, located
just five minutes from the pier and Ton Sai Village. From here,
visitors can hire a boat to appreciate the scenic panorama around
the island at the rate of 1,500 per day.
Additionally, there are other beaches among those whose beauty
is guaranteed; Hin Khom Beach, Lo Mudee Beach, Lanti Beach, and
Pak Nam Beach.
1 km of white sand beach - the main area where the boats dock.
Lots of accommodation, restaurants and places to meet. The beach
area stretches back to Ao Lo Dalam, around the central area which
forms the focus of the island. Touristy but fun.
